Schools in Singapore will suspend the use of the Zoom video-conferencing platform. The Education Ministry said this in response to queries from CNA, after reports surfaced that hackers had allegedly hijacked live-streaming of lessons. MOE said it is investigating breaches and will lodge a police report if warranted. It has reiterated to teachers the security measures they must adhere to when using video-conferencing platforms, such as the use of secure log-ins, and not sharing the meeting link beyond the class. It added that it is also working with Zoom to enhance its security settings.
