Straight Pool Runout Inside the Mind of a Professional | Thorsten Hohmann

Straight Pool Runout Inside the Mind of a Professional | Thorsten Hohmann We asked Kamui Brand partner player Thorsten Hohmann (World 9-Ball, World 14.1 Champion) to play through a rack of 15 balls while describing in detail his thought process and decision making throughout the game. There are a lot of things to keep in mind when playing high level straight pool including how you're going to break the next rack of balls after this one. Unlike 9-ball or 8-ball, straight pool (a.k.a. 14.1) allows you to hit any ball in any order, and when you get down to just 1 ball, you rack the other 14 back in the triangle and keep going. Thorsten has made a terrifying 408 without missing, so I figured he was a good person to get a straight pool lesson from. Filmed at Society Billiards in New York City. Special thanks to Thorsten for the lesson.
