CRISPY JICAMA FRIES | Singakamas

INGREDIENTS:



1 large singkamas | jicama

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp dried basil


-----For breading:
Use all purpose flour, 1 whole egg, bread crumbs.


-----Dipping sauce (Sour cream)

Combine the following:

All purpose cream, black pepper, garlic powder, and vinegar. Whisk well.



Easy instructions:



Peel and cut into sticks similar to french fries. Note: Jicama (singkamas) are known to be watery. Sprinkle liberal amount of salt and rest for 30 minutes to an hour to drain out excess liquid from the vegetable. After juice are drawn out, wash jicama fries in running water to remove excess salt.
