Acclaimed designer and entrepreneur Yves Béhar, the humanitarian behind "One Laptop Per Child", "See Better to Learn Better", and many other award-winning initiatives focussed on positive social and environmental change, turns the attention back on himself and examines how the current collective stay-at-home response to COVID-19 has affected him personally, and not just in negative ways, but in all the positive aspects, both personally and professionally, that he might not otherwise have considered. From eating three meals a day with family, to zoom meetings with his global team without needing to travel by airplane, Yves reflects on some of the silver linings, and indeed, the humaneness of this moment, and how all of us becoming a little more tolerant of life's interruptions is actually a good thing. Yves has pioneered design as a force for positive social and environmental change. His humanitarian work includes the One Laptop Per Child and See Better to Learn Better, which has distributed 6 million free corrective eyeglasses to schoolchildren in Mexico for the last 10 years. He received the INDEX Award for these projects, making him the only designer to have received the award twice. Yves has also been at the forefront of entrepreneurial venture design, co-founding Forme Life, August, and Canopy, as well as partnering with numerous start-ups such as the Happiest Baby Snoo, Uber, Cobalt, Desktop Metal, Sweetgreen and many others. Other collaborations with renowned partners such as Herman Miller, Movado, Samsung, Puma, Issey Miyake, Prada, SodaStream, Nivea and many others have also received international acclaim.
