Hungarian composer Béla Bartók (1881-1945) was also an ethnomusicologist who delved into the folk music of Eastern Europe. His music reflects the breakdown of the traditional diatonic tonal system, which is one of the trends of 20th-century classical music. He often treated the piano as a percussion instrument.
Bartók’s Out of Doors consists of 5 movements, each of which depicts a scene outdoors. The last movement, The Chase, is full of vortexes of repeating rapid figurations in the left hand and wild melody and dissonances in the right hand. Hope you can see “The Chase” while listening!

벨라 바르톡 야외에서 중 “사냥”
헝가리 작곡가 벨라 바르톡 (1881-1945)은 동유럽의 민속 음악을 깊이 연구한 민족음악학자이기도 했습니다. 그의 음악은 20세기 클래식 음악의 경향 중 하나인 전통적 온음계적 조성 체계의 붕괴를 반영합니다. 그는 피아노를 자주 타악기처럼 사용했습니다.
바르톡의 모음곡 야외에서는 야외의 풍경을 묘사하는 5개의 악장으로 이루어져 있습니다. 마지막 악장인 사냥은 왼손의 반복되는 빠른 음형의 소용돌이와 오른손의 거친 멜로디와 불협화음으로 가득 차 있습니다. 이 곡을 들으며 “사냥”이 눈 앞에 펼쳐지기 바라요!
