'I can't see anything wrong' with rugby league kicking off again by May: Tim Gilbert

'I can't see anything wrong' with rugby league kicking off again by May: Tim Gilbert Sky News Presenter Tim Gilbert says he can't "personally see anything wrong" with the Rugby League's commission seeking to restart the 2020 NRL season by the end of May.

"It's going to be slightly problematic for those teams outside of Sydney, but they're hoping in a few weeks, things will be even more relaxed," Mr Gilbert said.

Australian Rugby League Chairman Peter Vlandys told Paul Murray Live on Sky News the players were less at risk now than a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, the Nine network - the broadcaster of the NRL - chastised the league for its fiscal management.

"It's hard to argue with a lot of what they have to say... it has not been managed well."
